When, ages ago, Iggy Pop was asked who he would like to be the supporting act for The Stooges, the punk legend replied: “Sun Ra!” And so it happened.
Two years ago he featured on the very nice jazz album “Loneliness Road”, by none other than pianist Jamie Saft, bassist Steve Swallow and drummer Bobby Previte. Just saying: “Iggy Pop has a thing for jazz.”
At Jazz Middelheim he will be performing songs from his latest album Free as well as classics like ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’, ‘The Passenger’ and ‘Lust for Life’!
