Trumpet player Bert Joris, one of Belgium’s leading jazz masters, joins forces with his son Sam in a fresh and inspiring collaboration in honor of his 65th birthday. This festive concert is the ideal occasion to reunite Sam’s jazz octet after ten years. The members of the octet have a special bond with each other through the various projects that connect them, but also with Bert Joris who as a pedagogue and musician had a decisive role in their musical development. The repertoire of Bert Joris is the starting point, but especially adapted for the occasion and the line-up, he put together a new program!
