Black Star, or also the titans of hip hop Yasiin Bey (Mos Def’s new pseudonym) and Talib Kweli. 20 years after the release of their breakthrough album and instant hip hop classic, 'Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star', the two geniuses are once again setting fire to the stage. With a live comeback and rumours of a new album produced by Madlib in 2018, no wonder the fans are going wild! In 2016, Yasiin Bey announced his artistic retirement. After four successful solo albums as Mos Def and over 30 roles in cinema and TV, he became tired of the entertainment world’s inner workings. However, creativity runs in his veins and a year after his Final Tour he and Kweli join forces again. Chicago's most talented brass band, the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, are assisting them. These seven brothers, all sons of jazz trumpeter Phil Cohran, have collaborated with none other than Prince, Erykah Badu, Gorillaz and Tony Allen. A sparkling whirlwind of hip hop and jazz!
